Make the industrial rationale explicit
An aerospace acquisition can combine complementary products, customers or capabilities. Its rationale should describe what each business contributes and what the combined organisation can execute better. Financial scale alone is not evidence of operational improvement.
Skills, qualifications and delivery
People, qualifications, processes and documentation may be as important as physical assets. Due diligence needs to examine their continuity alongside contracts, production capacity and working capital. Historical results do not reveal every dependency or future investment need.
Integration after signing
Shared reporting, procurement or commercial development may support the project, while other activities benefit from retaining specialist autonomy. Responsibilities and milestones make the plan testable. Comparing organic growth, acquired revenue and integration costs helps assess whether consolidation creates usable industrial capabilities.
